Downtown KC is the Place To Be

By | July 20, 2012

It is the home of bebop and swing for some and the “City of Fountains” for others – Kansas City happens to never be the same thing to everyone. Music enthusiasts are pulled towards the jazz clubs as well as the old haunts of many famous musicians like Count Basie and Charlie Parker. Others will appreciate the scenic strolls from one fountain to the next (they are more numerous here than in Rome).

You can stop at one of many places to discover interesting shops and historic neighborhoods. Families will appreciate the many attractions Kansas City has for children. Science City offers interactive exhibits including a mock television studio where children can give the weather while the Zoo houses very impressive African and Australian animals (it even has an IMAX theater in it).

The city’s museums are devoted to subjects as diverse as the history of jazz or baseball players of African American descent. Kansas City was once a small trading post for the numerous pioneers that were heading west across the United States, however the Kansas City we know today is a booming metropolis with plenty of attractions and activities for all.

Kansas City is one of the hottest around, which is A. Blair Stover is devoted to it! Have you ever been to KC? If so, what’s your favorite part of the city?
