anticipation of fall being right around the corner. Here are a few September events Blair Stover recommends.

The Kansas City Irish Festival 2012 makes Irish eyes smile. And 2012 will see a bigger than ever Irish Festival. Three large stages and a performance-packed schedule will be offered. Traditional Celtic dancing along with a multitude of additional Irish influenced events will be found. The festival will be fun for all, even if you are not Irish.

The Renaissance Festival is now in it’s 35 year of operation in Kansas City. This KC Ren Fest fills more than sixteen acres with rides, games, more than 160 shops, 500 costumed characters, artisans, and the very popular joust, just to name a few. Spectators young and old find fun at KC’s Ren Fest.

A much loved tradition of Kansas City is the Annual Plaza Art Fair. Since 1932, this has grown into one of the top five art fairs in the nation. More than nine blocks of jewelry, art and crafts from experienced artists from the metro, the nation and all over the world.

Kansas City was chosen last year to host the world famous Fashion’s Night Out. Kansas City will join Atlanta, Milan, Los Angeles and other cities in a simultaneous celebration of fashion. Special promotions, fashion shows, live music, celebrities, live models, food and drink sampling and makeovers will all be found here.
