By | September 28, 2012

If you are a burger fanatic like I am then you are always looking out for the best burger joint in every city. Kansas City happens to have some of the best variety anywhere and we are pleased to compile, here on Blair Stover, all the “juicy” details of the city’s best burgers.

Best Gourmet Burger

This type of burger goes past the normal burger consisting of meat, tomato, lettuce and bun. Blanc Burgers + Bottles have been called the top burger joint in the whole state by the Food Network and you will see why once you try out one of their mouth-watering burgers. Their top choice is a blue-cheese burger topped with bacon called the “Inside-Out Burger”.

Best Burger Franchise

Five Guys has a habit of standing out from all other restaurants because they have all the makings of a fast food restaurant but your food is made right in front of you. How does a simple menu sound when it is filled with hot dogs, burgers and fries? One word… perfection.

Best Vegetarian Burger

The little restaurant known as “The Foundry at McCoy’s” happens to be one of the hottest spots in all of Missouri. If you love your lettuce and other “non-meat” items, McCoy’s is definitely the place you want to eat at. Black beans, avocado, chipotle mayo, garlic and onion peppers are all on the menu. I’m already hungry!

Best Burger that will turn a Vegetarian into a Carnivorous Monster

The Westport Flea Market (yes, you read that correctly), serves the juiciest of burgers in all of KC and they have the contest awards to prove it. For the past two decades, the flea market has entered – and won – a number of contests when it came to their burgers. Their 10 oz. McGonicle’s burger is the proverbial nail in the coffin in the contests.

Best Green Burger

Lawrence, Missouri is right outside KC and it is here that you will find “Local Burgers”, the famous place that has raised meat free of preservatives and additives since day one. Even their potatoes and cheese that they use are locally grown so they support KC farmers.
